HBG Productions is a literary agency representing independent publishers and self published authors in the international marketplace. HBG Productions specializes in being hands on and personal working closely with its clients and publishers. It offers author representation and coaching, translation and foreign rights negotiations and international book fair representation.

Hejkal publishes Czech and Finnish fiction and is co-organizer of the 3rd Book Fair in Ostrava (8-10 March 2013) and the 23rd Autumn Book Fair in Havlíčkův Brod (18-19 October 2013).

The research activities of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic address Czech history in a European context from the 10th to 20th centuries and on a case by case basis the histories of other states and regions.

Publishes high-quality Czech prose and poetry, fiction in translation, crime fiction, thrillers, literary theory and educational literature. Co-publisher of the HOST literary monthly.
